Twin Oaks Shelter relies on your generosity.

The waiting list for a single person to find refuge at Twin Oaks Shelter for the Homeless is six months long. Let that sink in a moment: if you are living alone in your car, you might have to wait until January for a room at Twin Oaks. Fortunately, the wait-time is often shorter than that, but it’s a stark reminder that affordable housing is in short supply.

Here’s how you can help. This year, instead of asking local businesses and organizations to sponsor an event, we’re asking our partners to directly sponsor families. We want to help as many people as possible work through their financial crisis and get back on their feet.

Our proven combination of professional case management, life skills training and, yes, basic shelter guided 185 people on their pathway out of poverty in 2018. That number includes 81 children. Our shelter is the only 24/7 shelter in Walworth County serving families. Thank you for making a difference.
