Drive-Thru Gingerbread Extravaganza 2021

The 8^th Annual Gingerbread Extravaganza is scheduled for Saturday, December 4^th at the Eclipse Center parking lot in Beloit.

This year's Gingerbread Extravaganza will return as an outdoor drive-thru event, presented by Big Radio!

Last year, we were thrilled to bring the magic of the holidays to families during the COVID-19 pandemic through our first-ever Drive-Thru Gingerbread Extravaganza. Though we yearn to have our facility packed with energetic young guests, this year we are taking extra precautions and once again plan to deliver gingerbread kits to vehicles in the drive-thru version of our Gingerbread Extravaganza.

Safety measures:

• Gingerbread kits are delivered to your car.
• All volunteers will be wearing masks.
• Santa will be available for safely distanced photos after you drive-thru. Guests park, then walk to the designated photo area.
• You will also be able to see Santa from your car if you prefer not to get out.
• In lieu of an in-person raffle, we are offering an online silent auction.

Thanks to your support, the magic of the Gingerbread Extravaganza lasts longer than a single day. Proceeds from Community Action’s signature family event benefit our poverty-fighting programs in Rock and Walworth counties. With the support of people like you, we are able to help nearly 5,000 people on their pathway out of poverty every year. Our local programs rely on your generosity to provide services like:

• Affordable child care for working parents.
• Rental assistance so those whose incomes were affected by COVID can stay in their homes.
• Emergency furnace repairs when a family is left without heat.
• Training to find and keep sustainable employment.
• Financial literacy classes to learn about budgeting, building credit and saving toward a new home or car.

...and many more services throughout Rock and Walworth counties.
