Twin Oaks Shelter is Walworth County's only 24/7 homeless shelter for families.

Twin Oaks Shelter relies on your generosity.

It is difficult to see the light when facing dark times. You begin to expect disappointment as the light grows dim from without and within. When all other doors are shut and no one else extends a hand to offer light in the darkness, hope begins to fade. Twin Oaks Shelter is the beacon and Community Action staff are the helping hand.

Our proven combination of competence and compassion gives our residents solace and hope during those dark times. Our intensive case management, life skills training and high expectations set our residents on a path to economic self-reliance.

In 2022, 168 people—including 77 kids—found refuge at Twin Oaks Shelter. Of those, 141 people were homeless for the first time and 16 were fleeing domestic violence.

Your contributions make our work possible and will allow us to expand our services in the future. Twin Oaks Shelter relies almost exclusively on private donations, which are 100% tax deductible.

Thank you for helping families find their way back into the light.
